Family disappointment.

My fiancé and I are getting married this coming September. We are anticipating a lot of people coming. More than I thought we would have to invite by a lot. Lol. The one big disappointment though has been that my father has decided that he will not be attending my wedding. My parents are divorced. They can’t stand each other. Which is fine, whatever. But he has chosen to use that as an excuse to not go to his only daughter’s only wedding. He says that my mom wants it that way so that she can tell everyone how horrible he is. Well, why would he go along with it then? ( which is totally not true. She could care less either way. ) it just hurts to know that I don’t mean enough to him for him to go. Especially when he promised me growing up that he would dance at my wedding. Guess that’s just one more promise for him to break.
My brother will be walking me down the aisle. In his navy blues. It will be great and all the people who love us will be there. Unfortunately, that doesn’t include my father.

Home is where the chaos is.

Finally back home as of yesterday. It’s good to be in my own house again with my own kitchen, bed and bathroom. I missed my bathroom the most I think. Lol.
After the initial mess of unpacking, it was time to take care of the dishes and laundry that the mr of the house had from us being gone for a week. He did take care of most of the laundry though. So I didn’t mind a few dishes.
The kids were happy to see daddy as well. Our son couldn’t stop giving him hugs and kisses. Lol.
My fiancé was happy to have me home as well. Not just for my cooking either lol. Although he did say how much he missed that. So I have a meatloaf and homemade scalloped potatoes cooking right now for when he comes home from work.
It’s a house with some chaos in it, mostly from the kids running around screaming all day lol, but it’s my chaos and I love it. Wouldn’t trade it for anything.

At journey’s end

Well, our stay here in Virginia is coming to an end. We leave to go back home today. It will be an 8-10 hour drive depending on the kids. Got everything just about packed up. It’s gonna rain here soon. The state is sad to see us go. Lol
